Fog

The fog hovered the ground in a foreign place.  Headlights break through and I drove.  Down the road was a place.  A empty parking lot full of people.  The fog surrounded the parking lot.  I found myself sat in my car staring into the fog.  I drove down the street to the parking lot.  It was full as I drove through it.  That parking lot was full.  And the fog hovered over its empty spaces.

  1. This post leaves me wondering about that parking lot full of people and empty spaces. Lots to think about here and the fog adds to the atmosphere.

  2. Wow - this one leaves me wondering what was happening. The contrast of the empty parking lot full of people and the full parking lot covered by fog is an image the has me thinking....certainly not sure what is happening.

  4. Fog has a way of creating a certain tone/feel, doesn't it? Empty but full. Interesting thought that may have escaped noticing. Did your life as a writer inform this perspective?

  5. Last line is haunting - "And the fog hovered over its empty spaces."
